At the Kingsway we take breakfast very seriously! Each and every day, our award winning and freshly cooked breakfasts using tasty local produce, will set you up perfectly for a busy day’s sightseeing around historic Edinburgh.
Each morning guests can enjoy Gary’s full cooked Scottish breakfast. Alternatively our daily specials are ideal for those looking for something special or who are travelling for a longer period of time so appreciate more variation.
The Kingsway full cooked breakfast includes traditional haggis, local butcher sausages, homemade potato scones from allotment potatoes (when available) and free range farm eggs.
We offer fresh ground coffee and an extensive range of teas including local Shibui herbals to help ease you into the day. Plus cereals, fruit and yoghurt parfait, homemade jams by Lizzie’s dad using fruits from his allotment and Auntie Mag’s marmalade. As a special treat guests may enjoy Gary’s homemade flapjacks and homemade banana bread, both delicious!
Our popular daily specials include Loch Fyne smoked salmon and free range scrambled eggs on sourdough, and huevos rancheros. Other favourites include free range 3 egg omelette with wilted spinach and goats cheese, and asparagus with parma ham and parmesan, poached eggs and hollandaise.
For guests requiring an early start to the day for tours or flights, we offer a tasty and convenient take away continental breakfast bag.
